  • Year-to-date distributions
  • Remaining RMD amount

Note: RMDs for inherited IRAs are not included on the report as Capital Bank and Trust Company (CB&T) is unable to complete these calculations. Contact a tax advisor for assistance with completing these calculations, or refer to Publication 590-B, Distributions from Individual Retirement Arrangements (IRAs) for information about determining RMDs for beneficiaries, including how to determine the applicable life expectancy factor and which age to use.

This report lists clients who haven’t contributed the maximum amount to their traditional or Roth IRA.

IRA Beneficiary Designation Report:

This report lists clients who have either not made a beneficiary designation or not updated their beneficiary designation in the past five years.

Within two business days of the request, you will receive two emails. One email will contain a password-protected file with the requested report. The second email will contain the system-generated password required to open the report. The password is unique to the request and cannot be retrieved by a customer support associate. Ordering a new report will generate a new password.

If you do not receive your emails within two business days, complete the following steps:

  1. Check your spam/junk and trash folders
  2. When logged in to the website, click your name at the top of any webpage and then click My Profile to verify your email address. If you need to make updates, click Change and reorder the report.

If the email address is invalid or not available at the time the report is requested, the report is sent via regular mail to the branch office address and will typically arrive within 5 to 7 business days.

While logged in to the website, click your name at the top of any webpage and then click My Profile. If you need to make updates, click Change.

The report is not designed to meet all the circumstances that can apply to an individual’s situation. The RMD amount is calculated using the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Uniform Lifetime Table.

For accounts that were established in the current year with no prior year-end value, the current value is used to calculate the estimated RMD amount. The amount shown does not indicate that an RMD must be taken in the current year. You can dismiss the amount shown if the distribution has already been taken. Typically, the RMD amount is taken out before the account′s establishment.

Before making a final determination about an individual’s RMD status, review their situation and consider assets held elsewhere. Visit the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) Guide for additional information.
