CAPITAL GROUP PRIVATE MARKETS REFLECTS ON THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF KOENRAAD FOULON, CO-FOUNDER AND SENIOR MANAGING PARTNER, ON HIS RETIREMENT June 2016
Twenty-five years after co-founding Capital Group Private Markets, Koenraad Foulon, Senior Managing Partner, will retire on June 30, 2016.
We express our immense gratitude to Koenraad for his twenty-five years of leadership and service to Capital Group, and recognize his success story, shared with his co-founder Lam, in building Capital Group Private Markets from an idea to the significant franchise it is today. This accomplishment could not have happened without Koenraad’s vision and entrepreneurial passion to pursue something new and different. He and Lam have displayed strong commitment, drive, and encouraged teamwork for many years through volatile emerging markets cycles. For that, the Capital Group Private Markets team has much to be grateful for and we are committed to honoring Koenraad’s legacy by continuing to build on his prior achievements.
On his retirement, Koenraad remarked that he will “entrust the continued success of the Capital Group Private Markets business, to which I have devoted twenty-five fulfilling years of my life, to our new generation of leaders and our dedicated team.”
Koenraad’s retirement comes as part of the now fully implemented generational transfer of leadership which began several years ago. We look forward to preserving and furthering Koenraad’s legacy in our business. We will remain forever indebted for his vision and wish him and his family a very well deserved retirement.
