U.S. taxpayers: Passive Foreign Investment Company (PFIC) Information

PFIC Annual Information Statements are provided below for all of our funds. These statements will allow investors to make a Qualified Electing Fund (QEF) election on U.S. income tax returns. Generally, PFIC rules apply only to U.S. persons, including U.S. citizens, ”Green Card“ holders and individuals who meet the ”Substantial Presence“ test under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code (and do not qualify for the ”Closer-Connection Exception“).

We recommend that unitholders classified as U.S. persons use these materials to consult with a tax advisor concerning the tax consequences of their ownership of Capital Group’s Canadian mutual funds and their U.S. tax reporting requirements.

Tax slips

Registered users of our Client Accounts section can access duplicate tax slips online by following the steps below. To request tax slips by phone, please call us at (866) 805-8407, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET, Mon.-Fri.


Step 1: Sign in to Client Accounts.
(New users: Register here)


Step 2: Click ”VIEW ACCOUNTS“ to launch the accounts portal for your desired rep code.


Step 3: Search for an account using the search field in the top left area, or select an account from the "Accounts and Assets" table under the “by Account” tab.


Step 4: On the account details page, expand the “Statements and Tax Slips” option in the sidebar menu to access current and historical tax slips.
